A calm microneedling consultation scene with a treatment plan and skincare tools in a Northampton studio

If you are looking at microneedling in Northampton, price is probably one of your first questions. It is also one of the easiest things to compare badly, because two appointments called "microneedling" can include very different levels of care. This guide explains the local price range, what sits behind the number, and what to ask before you book on price alone.

Microneedling prices in Northampton

Across Northampton, a single microneedling session usually sits between about £100 and £275, with many established studios and clinics charging £100 to £200. You will see cheaper offers below £100 and premium clinical treatments above £200, so it helps to compare by tier rather than chase one average price.

What we charge, and where it sits

At Mindfulness Beauty, the current guide price is £175 for a single microneedling session and £450 for a course of three. These are introductory guide prices, confirmed with Lisa at consultation once the right plan for your skin is agreed.

That puts £175 towards the upper end of the established studio range: above budget and offer-led pricing, in line with other premium Northampton providers, and below the most expensive clinical or radiofrequency treatments. It reflects a private, practitioner-led appointment rather than a high-volume service.

What changes the price?

When two prices for "microneedling" look very different, the gap usually comes down to what is included.

Practitioner training and accountability

A qualified, insured practitioner who treats you personally is a different proposition from a high-volume or mobile service. Training and experience are part of what you pay for.

Sterile, single-use needle cartridges

A fresh, sealed needle cartridge for every client is a genuine per-treatment cost and a basic standard of hygiene. Very low prices sometimes signal corners being cut here.

The device and protocol

Basic pens, recognised motorised devices, and radiofrequency microneedling sit in very different price bands. They are not directly comparable, so the device matters when you read a price.

Consultation and aftercare

A proper skin assessment, realistic expectation-setting, and clear aftercare guidance all take time. A rushed appointment is cheaper to deliver, but you get less of the care that makes the treatment safe and worthwhile.

Added serums and boosters

Some providers add hyaluronic or peptide serums, exosomes, or other actives, which pushes the price higher. Where these are charged as extras, the starting price can look lower than the treatment you actually receive.

Single session or a course?

Microneedling works by stimulating the skin's own renewal over time, so a single session refreshes while a planned course compounds the effect. That is why a course of three, usually spaced around four weeks apart, is the standard recommendation for concerns such as texture, fine lines, and the appearance of scarring.

On the economics, our course of three works out at £150 per session, against £175 paid individually — a saving of £25 a session, or £75 across the course. A single session is ideal for a first try or a one-off boost; a course is the better route if you already know you want to work on a specific concern.

What to check before booking on price alone

A low price is not automatically a problem, but it pays to compare like for like. Before booking, ask:

  • Who carries out the treatment, and what are their qualifications and insurance?
  • Is a fresh, single-use sterile cartridge used for every client?
  • What device is used, and does the price reflect a basic, motorised, or radiofrequency treatment?
  • Does the price include a proper consultation, aftercare, and any follow-up?
  • Is this the full treatment, or a serum-only or partial-face version?
